Garrigues scoops three awards at the 10th Expansión Legal Awards
The firm has won in the ‘Lawyer of the Year’, ‘Best Tax Firm’ and ‘Deal of the Year’ categories.
The firm has received three awards at the 10th Expansión Legal Awards ceremony, held yesterday in Madrid. Specifically, Álvaro López-Jorrín, partner and co-head of the corporate/commercial law practice since 2013, was singled out as Lawyer of the Year. Specializing in corporate law and structural modifications to companies, Álvaro has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions of both private and listed companies.
Garrigues also picked up the Best Tax Firm award, which it has already won five times before.
Finally, the firm won in the Deal of the Year category for its advice in the tender offer by BBVA for Banco Sabadell, underscoring its role in one of the most important transactions that have taken place in the last few months.
